Associated Sites: Magh Tuiredh, Co Roscommon.  

Credne was the artificer of the Tuatha De Danann.  Together with Goibniu the smith and Luchtaine the wheelwright he was part of the triad of 'Craft Gods' of the Tuatha De Danann. 

He also works in gold and brass occasionally.  Credne makes the rivets for the spears, hilts for the swords and rims and bosses for the shields. 

He also helps Diancecht the physician to create the artificial limb for the king Nuada so that he can once again be whole and regain his kingship.
