Cesard was the magician and counselor of King Eochaid Mac Eirc of the Fir Bolg.

Known Story: Interprets Eochaid’s prophetic dream of winged invaders—symbolizing the Tuatha Dé Danann—and foretells the downfall of the Fir Bolg.

He interpreted a dream of the King's as meaning disaster for the Fir Bolg for it foretold the coming of the Tuatha Dé Danann.

While Cesard doesn’t play a heroic or magical warrior role, he stands as a symbol of druidic wisdom and prophecy in Irish myth—a guide who reveals the fate that even kings cannot avoid.

Cesard appears in the medieval text Cath Maige Tuired (The First Battle of Mag Tuired), one of the foundational mythological narratives ascribed to the Lebor Gabála Érenn tradition.
