DESCRIPTION : Ground ivy is a creeping, perennial plant. The four-sided,
finely haired, procumbent stem, from a few inches to 2 feet long, grows roots from the
nodes along its length. The leaves are opposite, hairy, crenate, from reniform to cordate
but nearly round.
FLOWERING PERIOD : The bluish-purple, two-lipped flowers grow in axillary
whorls of six from April to July.
