Ecne was the god of Knowledge he had three fathers who were in turn the sons of Brigit, the Goddess of Fertility, and Turenn son of Oghma. 

His fathers murdered Cian, the father of Lugh the Long-handed.  Lugh devised a very intricate revenge for them as related in 'The Fate of the Children of Turenn'.
