Name: Mullaboy Celtic Cross ( The Cross of St Patrick) and Cross Base.

 

Location: Mullaboy Graveyard, Slaghtmanus Road, Co. Derry, Ireland.

 

 

Access: Within the local Graveyard so easy to access. Take the B118 junction off the A6 Follow the B118, the Tamnaherin Road, North to the junction with the Highmoor Road, take the Highmoor Road until the junction with the Slaghtmanus Road, take the Slaghtmanus road for 500meters and the graveyard will be west side of the Road.

 

Description: A Tall plane cross missing an arm, and a Cross base with a small cross.

 

Traditional Lore: The Cross of Saint Patrick was quarries around the 4th century by St Patrick and brought to the field known as the Gorticross Field (Situated on Highmoor Road), where St Patrick built one of his churches known as Domhnach Senliss.

 

 

Information: This site contains a tall plane cross with one of the arms missing. There is no carving visible on the cross
