Caoilte Mac Ronan was the nephew of Fionn Mac Cumhaill and one of the greatest warriors of the Fianna.
There are many legends that say he lived for three hundred years even into the time of the christians in Ireland.
Because Caoilte was held in such high esteem he appears in many 12th century manuscripts in the myths in conversation with the christian saint Patrick.
