Name -: Fenagh Standing Stone - Site 1
Location -: Mohill road, Fenagh, Co Leitrim.
Access -: There is no road access or a path to this
site. The Standing Stone is west of the Mohill road half a Km. South-west of Fenagh
village. Going south from Fenagh along the Mohill road, about a third of a Km. out of
Fenagh there is Fenagh Megalithic Tomb, just off the road on the west side and this
standing stone is nearly due west about a third of a Km. You need to cross a number of bog
fields to reach this site.
Description -: This is a very nice standing stone. It
has nearly a 45' curve to the west which give it an unusual look. The curve point's
towards Fenagh Standing Stone - Site 5 ; about a half Km. to the west.
Measurements -: This site comprises 1 stone
Standing Stones -: 1 Stone - H-165cm , L-40cm ,
W-30cm.
