A Wedge Tomb refers to a passage set into a wedge-shaped mound which tapers along its length. There are over 400 Wedge Chambers in Ireland today.

Usually these sites are dated around the Bronze Age. A lot of these Wedge Structures were called Cromlechs up until recently.
